Saigon City Tour
Depart from your hotel to visit Notre Dame Cathedral and Saigon Post Office. Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880 by French colonists. It is a famous age-long neo-Romanesque cathedral in Southern Vietnam. Notre Dame Cathedral is also a magnificent French architecture in the center of the Paris square.
Saigon Post Office is one of the oldest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. It was built between 1886 and 1891, based on Gustave Eiffel’s design, a famous French architect and has become the busiest post office in Vietnam where you can send letter, buy stamps and books, change money, buy souvenirs and enjoy the elegant architecture. By the first sight, visitors may feel that they’re brought back to 20th century railway station in Europe.
Reunification Palace (formerly known as Independence Palace) has stayed in the mind of many generations. It is the famous historical building which passed through the two fierce wars against the French and American colonists. It displays many pictures, weapons, and especially the basement right under the palace.
War Remnants Museum is the most popular tourist attraction in Ho Chi Minh City. The atmosphere inside of the newly-renovated museum is quiet and hushed. The museum show the horrors and the effect of the war to people from the past to now. Especially, the victims of the chemical of Agent Orange and the tiger cage display of Vietnam.
The Jade Emperor Pagoda or Phuoc Hai pagoda, was built by the city’s Cantonese community at the beginning of the 20th century. This is one of the most attractive pagodas in the city, dedicated to various Cantonese divinities, in a mixture of Taoism and Buddhism styles
Vietnamese market is almost a sign of Vietnam. These vendors sell variety of products, such as seafood, vegetable, daily tools, and clothes. You can find everything in Vietnamese market with affordable price.
