Upon arrival Siem Reap, greet at the airport and transfer to your hotel in town center. This afternoon, we will drive to Choueng Kneas village for a boat trip along Tonle Sap lake to observe the life of Cambodian poor people along with schools, restaurants, hospitals and much more on this great lake. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner with entertainment and traditional Apsara dance. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Ta Prohm (B/L/-)
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning, we will visit Banteay Srei by traveling on a newly paved road to this intricately carved and well preserved temple. We will have a stopover on the way at traditional village of Preah Dark then visit the Banteay Samre Temple, a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style built under Suryavarman II and Yasovarman II in the early 12th century. In the afternoon, we explore Ta Prohm, a temple covered in jungle under enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm has been left in much the same condition in which it was found. Our trip continues with visit to Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Kravan, Ta Som, Krol Ko and East Mebon. Enjoy sunset view at Pre Rup, a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction. Back to your hotel after an active day. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Siem Reap – Sunrise Angkor Wat – Angkor Complex (B/L/-)
A special gift for early bird – we bring you to Angkor for sunrise to take in the marvelous view which rated by thousands of travelers as a life-time moment. After sunrise tour, we bring you back to hotel for breakfast. Today, we discover Angkor Complex. Start with the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom in Bayon style, well-known for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most completed temple of Angkor Wat. The temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. As the best-preserved temple at the site, Angkor Wat is the only temple that has remained a significant religious center since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture and has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag and is the country’s prime attraction for visitors. Early evening, we travel by Tuk Tuk, a small open-sided taxi common in Cambodia, to visit the suburb of Siem Reap town and join in a blessing ceremony by Buddhist monks for happiness, prosperity and safety for your journey. Back to your hotel and rest at leisure. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Siem Reap – Main Shrine – Wat Bo (B/L/-)
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning, take a walk along the road in front of the King’s Residence to see the Main Shrine where the local people usually worship. Cambodians often buy jasmine and lotus flowers to worship. After then, we visit the “Old Market” – Psar Chars, a lively open market selling variety of goods from foods, clothes, souvenirs, snacks… This is where you need to practice your bargaining skills. Our last stop today is Wat Bo, a large, highly respected pagoda, founded in the 18th Century. After this visit, based on your departure flight, we bring you to airport for flight home. Tour ends at Siem Reap airport. See you again in Cambodia!
